Corinthians aim to extend strong run v Novorizontino in Paulistão

This Saturday (28), Corinthians will head to the Doutor Jorge Ismael de Biasi stadium, known as Jorjão, to face Grêmio Novorizontino in a match valid for the semifinals of the Campeonato Paulista. Timão enters the duel seeking to improve its positive record against the opponent.

Corinthians and Novorizontino have faced each other 30 times in their histories, with the Alvinegro Paulista accumulating 16 wins, seven draws, and seven losses. Additionally, the matchup includes 63 goals, with 39 for Corinthians and 24 for the team from the interior of São Paulo.

Timão arrives at this Saturday's duel after eliminating Portuguesa on penalties in the quarterfinals of the state championship. Novorizontino, on the other hand, advanced past Santos in the previous stage of the competition after winning 2-1, with the second goal scored in the last minute of the match.
