Corinthians announce changes to women's youth team management for 2026

Corinthians announced, through an official statement, changes in the coaching staff of the women's youth football categories for the 2026 season. The Under-15, Under-17, and Under-20 teams of the Brabinhas start the year with new names in charge.

According to the club, the coordination of the youth categories also underwent changes. Lucas Machado takes on the role and will continue the development work of the Brabinhas. The position was previously held by Rafaela Esteves, who left Corinthians to become the executive director at Mirassol, a club that will have its first women's football team this season.

The Under-15 team will have Bianca Chamelete as coach for the 2026 season. A member of Corinthians since 2025, she has served as an assistant coach for the category and also led the Under-13 team last year.

The Under-17 team will be led by Igor Carlos, known as Igor Cearense, aged 46. The coach was without a club since the termination of Fortaleza's women's football activities, where he worked for five seasons. At the Ceará club, he worked with the Under-17 and Under-20 categories and also led the main women's team.

Among the coach's main achievements at the Ceará club are the promotion to the A1 Series of the Brazilian Championship with the main team, the Under-17 Ceará Championship titles (2024 and 2025), the adult Ceará Women's titles (2020, 2022, and 2025), and the victory in the Maria Bonita Cup in 2025. During this period, athletes trained under his command received calls for Brazilian youth national teams.

The Under-20 category will be led by Julia Passero. The coach led the Under-17 team in 2025, when she won the Brazilian Championship of the category and finished the São Paulo Championship as runner-up.

The teams have already started preparing for the year's schedule. The first category to officially debut in 2026 will be the Under-20, which will take the field on Saturday (08), at 4:30 PM (Brasília time), against Tarumã-AM, at Carlos Zamith Stadium, in Manaus-AM, for the opening round of the Brazilian Championship of the category.
