Corinthians returned to CT Dr. Joaquim Grava on Friday morning to start preparations for Red Bull Bragantino in round 22 of the Brasileirão, with kick-off on Sunday at 18:30 at Cícero de Souza Marques.
According to Meu Timao, players who featured for more than 45 minutes in Thursday’s Copa do Brasil elimination against Internacional did indoor recovery work, while the rest trained on the pitch after a strength session for a team game overseen by Fernando Diniz.
The final session is scheduled for Saturday morning before the squad travel to Bragança Paulista. The team are looking to respond to their last-16 exit and to end a run of two league draws.
Six players remain in the treatment room. Yuri Alberto has a right hamstring injury, Vitinho is recovering from surgery on the left knee meniscus, and Alex Santana is in transition after trauma to his right knee.
Hugo Farias is in transition after a lateral meniscus injury to the right knee, Kayke is recovering from left ACL surgery, and Zakaria Labyad has a meniscus injury and a ruptured left ACL.
Memphis Depay has not yet returned to training and is in the final stages of talks over a new contract with the club.
Corinthians sit ninth in the league on 29 points. Bragantino are sixth with 31 and have a game in hand.
