Corinthians block 500 tickets in crackdown on fraud and touts

Before the derby against Palmeiras on the night of last Sunday (8), at the Neo Química Arena, during the first phase of the 2026 Paulista Championship, Corinthians carried out, through data analysis and cross-referencing, a preventive action to combat fraud and ticket scalping in its membership program, Fiel Torcedor.

In a statement released by Corinthians, the club reported that around 500 tickets were blocked, preventing entry and protecting the club’s image, as well as the integrity of the event and the fans who ended up acquiring tickets irregularly. Most of the blocked tickets were from the South and East sections of the Neo Química Arena.

Corinthians also mentioned in its statement that three illegal sellers were detained in the vicinity of the Neo Química Arena and were taken to Drade (Police Department for the Repression of Crimes of Sports Intolerance). The club from Parque São Jorge also highlighted its commitment to fighting the illegal sale of tickets, thus protecting the rights of the fans.

It is worth remembering that, since July 2025, following the General Sports Law, all clubs with stadiums with a capacity of over 20,000 people must have implemented a facial biometrics system. Otherwise, they cannot receive the public and, consequently, will be closed.
