According to Meu Timao, Corinthians have been charged by the STJD over three incidents from Sunday’s derby with Santos in the Brasileirão, led by hostile conduct towards an eight-year-old who received Neymar’s shirt.
The episode unfolded after the home side’s defeat at Neo Química Arena. In the West Stand with his parents, the boy held a sign asking for Neymar’s shirt, which the Santos forward handed over at full time.
Nearby fans then turned on the child, and police and private security escorted the family to ensure their safety and restore order. The incident was recorded in the match delegate’s report and forms the basis of a charge under CBJD article 213, section I, which carries fines from R$ 100 to R$ 100,000.
The hearing is scheduled for Friday at 10:30, before the seventh Disciplinary Commission.
Corinthians and Santos have also been cited for a three-minute delay to the second-half restart, with fines of R$ 100 to R$ 1,000 per minute possible under CBJD article 206.
In a separate count, Corinthians face action under CBJD article 191, section III, after 67 children took part in the teams’ entrance protocol, above the 22 permitted, which could also result in a fine.
