Corinthians president Osmar Stabile took part in the Brazilian Football Confederation's first engagement on its US mission, joining a visit to Major League Soccer headquarters in New York on Friday.
According to Meu Timao, Stabile was among a group of representatives from Brazilian Série A and Série B clubs attending briefings at the league's base.
The sessions outlined strategies behind MLS growth in recent years, notably around commercial properties and brand expansion. They highlighted two pillars, the arrival of leading international stars such as Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, and former players taking stakes as investors, including David Beckham, a co-owner of Inter Miami.
Presentations were led by senior league executives. Those included Nelson Rodriguez, executive vice-president of Sporting Product and Competitions, Chris Schlosser, vice-president of Digital Platforms and the Apple partnership, Pablo Zarate, vice-president of International Properties at MLS and Soccer United Marketing, and Lorenzo de La Garza, manager of International Properties.
The Brazilian delegation will continue on Saturday by examining management models used by other successful US sports leagues. The programme will conclude with the officials attending Brazil's World Cup opener against Morocco in New Jersey.
The initiative continues work begun by the CBF in January, when a delegation visited the Premier League, the Bundesliga and La Liga to study sporting and commercial management models in professional football.
