Corinthians have been cleared of the CBF transfer ban after prepaying the third instalment of a settlement with the CNRD. According to Globo.com, the early payment helped overturn the sanction.

The board had delayed the first two instalments, then moved to bring forward the third, originally due on 17 January, as a sign of good faith to try to end the ban.

The CNRD cited a change in stance when revoking the restriction, which had been in place since October last year.

On another front, the club reached agreement with Santos Laguna of Mexico to pay US$ 6.2 million, R$ 33.4 million, with the aim of lifting a FIFA transfer ban imposed since August 2025.

In recent days Corinthians also settled R$ 41.2 million owed to Paraguayan midfielder Matías Rojas, in a case that brought sanctions at FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Payments that blocked or could block signings have been accelerated, supported by Liga Forte União distributions tied to the Brasileirão, Copa do Brasil prize money and a R$ 70 million LFU loan.

Finances still require tight management because a 2022 refinancing of the Neo Química Arena debt, signed by former president Duílio Monteiro Alves, allows Caixa Econômica Federal to retain 50% of prize income, such as R$ 77.175 million from the 2025 Copa do Brasil title.

With the CBF sanction lifted, the club are monitoring potential additions.
