Red Bull Bragantino sit third on 11 points, with Palmeiras and Novorizontino on 12. Novorizontino lead on goal difference.

Guarani sit just behind, also on eight. Mirassol, Primavera and São Bernardo have seven, with Capivariano also on seven in ninth. Portuguesa and Santos are on six, and Botafogo de Ribeirão Preto have five in 12th.

The win also widened the gap to the relegation zone. Among the clubs on four points, São Paulo are currently in the Z2, behind Velo Clube and Noroeste on tiebreakers. Ponte Preta are bottom with one point from 15.

Corinthians host Capivariano on five February at 20:30 at Neo Química Arena in round six, seeking further progress. They need a win and favourable results elsewhere.

Before then, they face Bahia at Vila Belmiro on Wednesday 28 January at 20:00 in the opening round of the 2026 Brasileiro, and meet Flamengo in the Supercopa do Brasil next Sunday.
