Corinthians drew 1-1 with São Paulo at Neo Química Arena on Sunday in the third round of the Campeonato Paulista, yet improved their position to seventh with four points.

As reported by Meu Timao, other results reshaped the table. Corinthians moved above Mirassol and Velo Clube after those sides lost to Palmeiras and Portuguesa respectively.

They were, however, overtaken by Capivariano, who beat Ponte Preta to reach six points.

The gap to the frontrunners widened, with Red Bull Bragantino and Palmeiras on nine points, five clear of Corinthians, and the only unbeaten teams.

At the bottom, Noroeste, Guarani and Botafogo have two points in 13th, 14th and 15th, with Ponte Preta 16th and yet to register a point.

Corinthians visit Santos at Vila Belmiro on Thursday in the fourth round.
