Corinthians are close to confirming the sale of 26-year-old defender Leticia Teles to Saudi club Al Qadsiah, a move that could become a club record and the second biggest in Brazilian women’s football.

According to Meu Timao, the fee sits between 600,000 and 800,000 dollars, about R$ 3.1 million to R$ 4.1 million. Talks have dragged on for weeks, and she said her goodbyes before completing medical tests on Friday.

It would trail only Amanda Gutierres’s switch from Palmeiras to Boston Legacy for R$ 5.9 million, and would eclipse Corinthians’ sale of Tarciane to Houston Dash in April 2024, around R$ 2.59 million.

Teles joined in 2025 from Red Bull Bragantino after spells with Aliança-GO, Goiás, Tiradentes-PI and Minas Brasília. She made 39 appearances, 31 starts, scored once and provided one assist, helping win the 2025 Brasileiro and Libertadores.

Her record stands at 30 wins, five defeats and four draws.

This season she has been the first reserve at centre-back under Lucas Piccinato, then Emily Lima. After a July injury return in the position, opportunities became scarce.

Corinthians still have Thaís Ferreira, Erika, Thaís Regina, Agustina Barroso and Duda Mineira in central defence.

Her final appearance was on 26 August 2026, a 6-2 win over Taubaté in the Campeonato Paulista Feminino, where she started.
