Corinthians confirm Canindé as venue for the Paulista Women's final

Corinthians has decided that the second game of the Women's Paulista Championship final will be held at Canindé Stadium this Sunday (14), at 10 am (Brasília time), against Palmeiras. This confirmation comes after the Paulista Football Federation (FPF) maintained the original schedule of the final and the Neo Química Arena became unavailable due to the men's Copa do Brasil semifinal between Corinthians and Cruzeiro.

The club attempted to move the match to Saturday (13) to play at the Neo Química Arena, but the FPF upheld the previously established decision. As a result, the alvinegro team resorted to another stadium in São Paulo, as it has done this season with games at Pacaembu and Canindé itself.

This will be the third time the women's team will play at this venue in 2025; Corinthians defeated Flamengo and drew with São Paulo in the Brazilian Championship. In total, the team has 15 wins, one draw, and one loss at Canindé. The only defeat was precisely against Palmeiras, by 2 x 1, at the beginning of the year.

Timão approaches the match needing a significant result to win the title. After losing the first game 5 x 1, the Brabas need to win by five goals to become champions in regular time. If they win by four goals, the decision goes to penalties. Any smaller advantage secures the title for the opponent.
