Corinthians confirm contract termination with Héctor Hernández

On the morning of this Tuesday (27), Corinthians announced the termination of the contract between the club and striker Héctor Hernández. The Spaniard’s contract was valid until the end of this season and, with the end of the agreement, the People’s Team estimates it will save around R$ 4.8 million in salaries. Reducing the payroll is one of the department’s goals this year.

Héctor Hernández joined Corinthians in 2024, at the end of the mid-year transfer window, without any transfer fee being paid. He won the Paulistão and the Copa do Brasil with the club, scoring Timão’s first goal in the national competition last year, in the away victory against Novorizontino. He played 24 matches and scored two goals.

With the rise of Gui Negão and the arrival of Vitinho, the Spanish center-forward lost his place and ended up being sidelined by Dorival Júnior. He began training separately from the rest of the squad, until both parties reached an amicable agreement for the contract termination. This way, he can look for another club as a free agent on the market.

On Tuesday (27), Sport Club Corinthians Paulista reached an amicable termination with striker Héctor Hernández. With the operation concluded, the club will save R$ 4.8 million from the men’s football payroll.

Héctor joined Timão in 2024. He played 24 matches, scored two goals, and won two titles (Paulistão and Copa do Brasil, in 2025). President Osmar Stabile and the Corinthians football board thank the athlete for his dedication to the black-and-white shirt and wish him success in his professional career.
