The Corinthians Deliberative Council expelled three councillors on Monday over their roles in the 31 May 2025 attempted invasion of Parque São Jorge to reinstall ex-president Augusto Melo.
According to Meu Timao, Maria Angela Ocampos, Paulo Juricic and Ronaldo Fernandez Tomé were removed, while the vote on Mário Mello Júnior was postponed after he was taken to the venue's infirmary feeling unwell.
Maria Angela's appeal against the Ethics and Discipline Commission recommendation was rejected by 111 votes to 21, with three abstentions. After her defence was heard, the chamber approved her expulsion by 111 votes to 23.
With Mário unavailable, acting chair Leonardo Pantaleão asked Paulo Juricic to bring his case forward, which he accepted. His appeal was rejected, then councillors voted to expel him by 86 votes to 21.
Ronaldo Fernandez Tomé's appeal was also dismissed. Following the reading of the opinion and his defence, he was expelled by 88 votes to 24.
Augusto Melo had been expelled on one June in a heavy vote, in line with the Ethics and Discipline Commission's opinion. After Tomé's case, the session was adjourned again, with Pantaleão to set a new date to hear pending cases. Other councillors remain under review and could face sanctions ranging from warnings to suspensions. The Ethics body has recommended six-month bans for three, three-month suspensions for two and warnings for three, with one abstention recorded in one case.
