Corinthians midfielder Dayana Rodríguez has been called up by Venezuela for the upcoming FIFA window friendlies against Brazil and Mexican clubs Cruz Azul and América. According to Meu Timao, coach Ricardo Belli has named 24 players for the three matches to prepare for the resumption of the CONMEBOL Nations League, with Venezuela top on eight points from four games.

The schedule opens on 28 February against Cruz Azul in Mexico. Venezuela then face Brazil on 4 March at 18:00 at the Mexican Football Federation training centre in Toluca. The final outing is on 7 March against América.

Rodríguez is an important part of Corinthians' squad, but she was a substitute during last week's FIFA Club Champions Cup, when the team finished runners-up, after a delayed arrival in London due to documentation issues.

She is under contract until the end of 2028. The midfielder could start for the first time this Saturday at 16:00, when Corinthians host Palmeiras at Arena Barueri for the Supercopa do Brasil Feminina title.

The 4 March meeting could also pit Rodríguez against some Corinthians team-mates in the Brazil set-up.
