Corinthians were beaten 3-2 by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, finishing runners-up at the Copa das Campeãs in London.
According to Meu Timao, that placing earned the Brabas US$ 1 million, about R$ 5.3 million. Arsenal, as champions, received a further US$ 2.3 million, roughly R$ 12.16 million.
The sum is five times the US$ 200,000 guaranteed by the sport’s world governing body to the four semi-finalists at the event in the United Kingdom.
Corinthians had reached the final by beating United States side Gotham FC 1-0 at the Gtech Community Stadium, courtesy of Gabi Zanotti. In the decider, they forced extra time with a last-minute equaliser in normal time, but were ultimately defeated.
In recent years the club have faced delays paying players, covering image rights and bonuses from titles won by the Brabas. With extra funds now in hand, they aim to minimise those issues.
Attention turns to the 2026 campaign, with a Supercopa Feminina clash against rivals Palmeiras at Arena Barueri on Saturday, kick-off 16:00.
