Corinthians expect Kaio César to arrive in Brazil this week for medical tests and to sign a one-year loan.
The forward was in Al-Hilal’s squad on Sunday and came on in the second half of a 2-1 win over Neon, which could be his final outing for the Saudi club. “Kaio César will come to Corinthians, it is very close, next week he will be arriving here, the agreement is all lined up. He is a young player, Dorival asked for wide players with speed and fitness, he is one of those, so it is 98% done. Only a minimal detail remains,” said director of football Marcelo Paz to TNT Sports.
The loan has been put at 500,000 euros, about R$ 3.1 million at current rates, though Corinthians say they will only pay his wages. An option to buy of six million euros for 50% of his rights would apply at the end of 2026.
Paz also confirmed talks over a loan for goalkeeper João Ricardo, 37, from Fortaleza. He is recovering from shoulder surgery and would only move once cleared to play, with March the expectation.
Negotiations with São Paulo for midfielder Alisson remain in progress, with interest acknowledged and a move possible if terms are agreed. A derby between the clubs has slowed discussions.
Timão have already announced defender Gabriel Paulista and midfielder Matheus Pereira for 2026. They also have an agreement with Uruguayan right-back Pedro Milans, who is awaiting a Brazilian work visa to sign.
