Corinthians’ young winger Janderson has gradually has received opportunities with the first-team and now the club has rewarded him with a new deal that will provide him with a significant wage increase.
Though he has only featured in four professional matches, Corinthians have extended the 20-year-old’s contract an additional year, which will now keep him at the club until 2023.
With Clayson suspended for picking up his third yellow card, there’s a possibility that Janderson could start Sunday’s match against Fluminense.
Meanwhile, Corinthians have also cut Marllon’s Bahia loan short, with the centre-back returning to the club effective immediately.
Marllon was shipped off soon after the club announced the return of Gil, however, Henrique has since been sold to UAE side Ittihad Kalba and Leo Santos has underwent surgery on his right knee which will keep him out until 2020.
Though Marllon was with Bahia for two months, he never got on the pitch, making the bench for each of the nine matches he was eligible for.
