Corinthians are aiming to build a run again after beating Platense 2-0 in the Libertadores group opener on Thursday, a result that sets up Sunday’s derby with Palmeiras.
According to Meu Timao, the club now seeks to string positive results together at Neo Química Arena.
Their last sequence of successive wins came in February, beating Red Bull Bragantino 2-0 on 12/02/2026, São Bernardo 1-0 on 15/02/2026 and Athletico-PR 1-0 on 19/02/2026.
Only the Bragantino victory was at Neo Química Arena, where centre-back Gabriel Paulista and left-back Matheus Bidu scored.
After that run, Corinthians went nine matches without a win, recording four defeats and five victories. The 2-0 over Platense ended that sequence, their worst since 2007, the club’s relegation year.
The inconsistency prompted a change in the dugout, with Dorival Júnior dismissed. Now led by Fernando Diniz, Corinthians are looking to begin a new phase.
