Corinthians host Internacional at Fazendinha at 18:00 on Saturday, the 17th and final round of the Campeonato Brasileiro Feminino’s regular phase. Emily Lima’s side must manage disciplinary risks with the quarter-finals looming.
According to Meu Timao, four players are one booking from a ban for the first leg of the last eight. Defender Letícia Teles, midfielder Dayana Rodríguez and forwards Gabi Zanotti and Jhonson each sit on two yellow cards.
Competition rules reset all cautions after the first phase. In the knockouts, any player who again reaches three yellows must miss the following match.
The Timão are already through and have secured home advantage in the quarter-finals. They top the table on 38 points, level with São Paulo, but ahead on goal difference, 41 to 30.
A win over Internacional would secure first place for the Brabas, provided São Paulo do not beat Mixto at Morumbi and manage to close the goal difference gap.
As it stands, Corinthians would play current eighth-placed Fluminense over two legs, with the second leg at home. If the aggregate is level, the tie will be settled by penalties.
Points from the knockouts continue to count towards the overall ranking for home advantage in later rounds. The side with the higher total can host each second leg.
