Corinthians have been charged by the STJD after incidents following their 3-0 win over Remo last Thursday in the 19th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

According to Meu Timao, the Parque São Jorge club is cited under Article 213 of the CBJD, which covers failure to take measures to prevent and control incidents involving supporters.

Two children entered the pitch to ask Corinthians players for shirts and were stopped by on-field security. The legislation provides for a fine ranging from R$100 to R$100,000.

Remo have also been charged under Article 206 for delaying the start. Both teams were two minutes late to kick off, yet only the Pará side was cited.

The hearing is set for Tuesday, 28 July, at 10am at the STJD headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. The case is listed third on the day’s agenda, with auditor Eduardo Ramos as rapporteur.
