Corinthians supporters want the 2026 Libertadores to take priority for the remainder of the season. According to Meu Timao, 56.4% backed the continental tournament in a fan poll, with 25.1% opting against prioritising any competition, 12.7% selecting the Brasileirão and 5.8% the Copa do Brasil.
Beaten in the preliminary phase in 2025, Corinthians will chase a second Libertadores crown this year. Their group-stage opponents will be drawn on 19 March in Paraguay, with the first six fixtures scheduled between seven April and 28 May.
The league began in January and 34 rounds remain. After four matches, Corinthians sit third on seven points, three behind leaders Palmeiras and São Paulo, having finished 13th last season.
The Copa do Brasil carries warm memories after the club ended a 16-year wait by winning a fourth title in 2025, defeating Vasco da Gama. Their 2026 bow is set for 22 or 23 April in the fifth phase.
Under Dorival Júnior in 2026, Corinthians have won the Supercopa do Brasil and reached the Paulistão semi-finals. Next up is Coritiba at Neo Química Arena on Wednesday the 11th at 21:30, in the fifth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
