Corinthians supporters staged a large protest at Parque São Jorge as the club’s Deliberative Council voted on expelling former president Andrés Sanchez from its membership. According to Meu Timao, the demonstration took place outside while councillors assembled inside.

The gathering was set for 16:00, with numbers swelling from 16:30. Security was reinforced by Military Police, Civil Police and hired stewards, as organised groups including Gaviões da Fiel and Camisa 12 unfurled banners demanding respect, an end to impunity and immediate expulsion.

By 18:00 the tempo increased, some councillors were pressed and security advanced to guarantee access. The protest opened with guidance from Gaviões press officer Alex da Matta, who urged expulsion and referenced investigations involving Duilio Monteiro Alves and Augusto Melo.

Fans directed chants at Sanchez, a rat trap was hung at another entrance and Camisa 12 staged a symbolic clean-up, echoing rat accusations. As unofficial tallies indicated expulsion ahead, tensions rose.

Fireworks followed the announcement that Sanchez had been removed from the association. He is under investigation over alleged irregular use of club corporate cards exceeding R$ 480,000 between 2018 and 2021, and last month the Ethics Council unanimously sent the case to the Deliberative Council. In October 2025 prosecutors charged Sanchez and former finance manager Roberto Gavioli with embezzlement and money laundering, and he also faces a separate tax-document case that is currently stayed.
