Corinthians supporters staged fresh protests against president Osmar Stabile in São Paulo on Saturday, unfurling banners on a west-side bridge that called for judicial intervention at Parque São Jorge and for the club chief to step down.

According to Meu Timao, the group also plans to display a seven-metre banner in the Campinas area.

On Friday, further banners were hung outside Stabile’s residence, demanding immediate judicial action and his removal, warning that peace was over and appealing for help from the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Discontent swelled after the club decided on Tuesday not to renew forward Memphis Depay’s contract, triggering a wave of online protest, with #ForaStabile among the leading topics on X.

Stabile’s personal data, including address, CPF and phone number, were also uncovered and shared on social networks.

On Wednesday, the Movimento Libertação Já launched a petition for judicial intervention at Parque São Jorge and Stabile’s exit, following its Expulsão Já drive that gathered more than 50,000 signatures in April to expel former presidents Andrés Sanchez, Duilio Monteiro Alves and Augusto Melo.

Pressure predates this week, with Gaviões da Fiel repeatedly meeting Stabile to demand greater transparency, while SAFiel says it has had no reply to its proposal to take charge of football operations.

Financial strain has deepened the unrest, with the 2025 accounts showing a 143.4 million reais deficit and gross debt of 2.7 billion reais, and three FIFA transfer bans currently preventing the registration of new players.

Politically, the São Paulo Public Prosecutor’s Office is investigating payments of 676,600 reais to Mega Assessoria Operacional Ltda, a firm said to lack Federal Police authorisation for security work, and 586,900 reais to Bear Security for Stabile’s personal protection.
