Corinthians finalise preparations for Estudiantes Libertadores quarter-final second leg, probable XI unchanged | OneFootball

Corinthians completed their final session on Tuesday afternoon ahead of the Libertadores quarter-final second leg against Estudiantes. Fernando Diniz is expected to stick with the side that started the first leg.

According to Meu Timao, work at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava opened with a video briefing, followed by activation in the gym and a warm-up on the pitch. Diniz then staged a 10 v 10 tactical drill before set-piece routines and penalty practice.

Yuri Alberto remains sidelined with a right hamstring injury. Raniele is suspended. Midfielder André Luiz is available after recovering from a grade 2 right hamstring injury sustained on 6 August.

Diniz is expected to retain the XI from the first leg, including Hugo Souza, Matheuzinho, Gustavo Henrique, Gabriel Paulista, Matheus Bidu, Allan, Breno Bidon, André Carrillo, Rodrigo Garro, Kaio César and Memphis Depay.

Kick-off is at 21:30 on Wednesday at Neo Química Arena. All tickets have been taken and capacity will rise to 49,984 with about 1,500 additional seats installed.

Following a 1-1 draw in La Plata, Corinthians will reach the semi-finals for the third time in their history with any win. If it finishes level again, the tie will be settled on penalties.
