Corinthians futsal idol Deives honoured by club at Neo Química Arena

On the afternoon of this Sunday (7th), Corinthians hosted Juventude at the Neo Química Arena for the last match of the Brazilian Championship, ending in a 1-1 draw. The result meant that the Alvinegro finished the tournament in 13th place with 47 points. Before the match, the number 10 and futsal idol of Corinthians, Deives, was honored by the club on the Arena field.

Having defended the Corinthians jersey for ten seasons, Deives has scored over 300 goals for the Alvinegro, winning two National Futsal League titles (2016 and 2022), two Paulista Championships (2019 and 2022), as well as the São Paulo Cup and the Mucho Más International Tournament in Spain. The latter two were won in 2025.

Additionally, last Sunday, the Alvinegro finished as runners-up in the Paulista Championship of the sport after being defeated by Magnus Sorocaba in both games. To close the season, Corinthians will still play the two matches of the National League final against Jaraguá, on December 9 and 13. The first leg will be held at Wlamir Marques.

On social media, the Corinthians Cultural Department highlighted the tribute paid to the number 10, also emphasizing the athlete’s history in the sport defending the club from Parque São Jorge. Alongside his family, he took photos with all the trophies he won playing for Corinthians, and also received a plaque from president Osmar Stabile.

“The Cultural Department, through the Corinthians Memorial, paid tribute to Deives Moraes, futsal idol of Timão. The number 10 accumulated titles and unforgettable moments on the court defending the jersey. This month, the captain hangs up his boots after ten years at Corinthians, totaling 204 games for the Club. Today, at Neo Química Arena, the Memorial team presented the main trophies won by Deives, celebrating and exalting his history at Timão,” says the post. Click here to check it out.
