Corinthians gear up for women's final v Cruzeiro

This Sunday, the 14th, Corinthians Women's team will conclude another competition this season. The Brabas will host Cruzeiro at the Neo Química Arena at 10:30 AM (Brasília time) for the second leg of the Brazilian Championship grand final. It's worth remembering that in the first leg, last Sunday, the 7th, the teams drew 2-2 at Arena Independência in Belo Horizonte.

The team's preparation for the national final continued this Wednesday, the 10th, directly at the Joaquim Grava Training Center. In an activity that lasted about 50 minutes in total, the athletes, guided by coach Lucas Piccinato, first performed technical work and then tactical work, partly on a reduced field and partly in a more open space.

The group will continue preparing for the match against the team from Minas Gerais throughout the week, until this Saturday, the 13th. Then, the squad will enter into concentration for the match in Itaquera. The Brabas are fighting for their seventh Brazilian title, having previously won the competition in 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.

It's important to note that even with the end of the national tournament, there will still be plenty of competition ahead in women's football. Corinthians remains active in the Copa do Brasil, where they face Juventude in the round of 16, and they are also the isolated leader in the first phase of the Paulista Championship. Finally, the team will compete in the Copa Libertadores in October – the competition will take place in Argentina.
