Corinthians have handed 17-year-old midfielder Júlia Faria her first professional contract. According to Meu Timao, the 2008-born talent completed the paperwork on Monday.

Faria joined the club in October 2023, linking up with the under-17s. Early last year she renewed her deal until the end of 2027.

In August she lifted the Brasileiro Feminino at under-17 level. She also featured for Brazil at the last Under-17 World Cup, starting all seven matches.

On social media, she expressed delight at the milestone, thanking God, her family and everyone who has supported her. She described representing Corinthians as an honour and said she is pursuing new goals and dreams.

She is not the first player promoted in 2026. Goalkeeper Ana Morganti and right-back Rafa Rocha also moved into the senior squad earlier this year, and both were named in the squad for the Supercopa, where Corinthians lost on penalties to Palmeiras last Saturday.
