Prosecutor Cássio Conserino visited Corinthians’ Parque São Jorge on Thursday to collect invoices, credit card bills and other records for a probe into alleged improper spending under former presidents Andrés Sanchez and Duilio Monteiro Alves.

According to Globo.com, he arrived with six Military Police vehicles and other officials, then met president Osmar Stabile and legal chief Pedro Luis Soares for a four-hour tour of the archives that both sides called constructive.

The club agreed to send spreadsheets indicating cash advances, to lift fiscal and banking secrecy, and to deliver records matching material already shared, including R$ 3.5 million taken during Sanchez’s term.

Corinthians has joined as assistant to the prosecution and shares Conserino’s view that the club is a victim of misuse by the two ex-presidents. Investigators are examining R$ 3.4 million allegedly passed in cash to João Odair de Souza, 'Caveira', and R$ 1.2 million paid to Denilson Grillo, 'Carioca', ex-driver to Monteiro Alves. Prosecutors say there is no supporting paperwork for either transfer.

Conserino also told technology director Marcelo Munhoes to supply backups of all banking transactions from 2018 to 2025 to aid the probe and any court forensic review. The request aims to verify the integrity of material already supplied.

Separately, the club is probing both matters via its Ethics and Discipline Commission, chaired by Leonardo Pantaleão, vice-president of the Deliberative Council. In the coming weeks it should issue opinions and recommend measures under the statute, ranging from warning to suspension or expulsion.
