Corinthians have four players called up to Brazil’s Under-15 squad

Coach Guilherme Dalla Déa, who led Corinthians’ U-17 team in 2023, has announced the list of 20 athletes called up for the Brazil U-15 National Team, aiming to compete in the Evolution League for the category. The tournament will take place in Asunción, Paraguay, between September 26 and October 6.

Out of the total athletes, two play for Corinthians’ U-15: midfielder Lucas Lopes and playmaker Léo Rodrigues, one of the main athletes for the Alvinegro in the category. In addition, Timãozinho’s coach Eduardo Vergueiro was once again called up to serve as Dalla Déa’s assistant, along with physiotherapist Renato Mendes.

The Seleção will debut in the competition on September 26 against Peru. Afterwards, they will face Ecuador two days later, Colombia on October 2, and Venezuela on the 10th, during the group stage. Before that, however, the athletes will gather in Palmas, Tocantins, for a training period from September 11 to 22.

In July, the Brazil U-15 National Team won the Copa 2 de Julho by defeating Ceará 2-0 in Salvador, with midfielder Lucas Lopes starting for the Canarinho in the tournament and serving as captain of the category at Corinthians.

The U-15 category is one of the most promising at Corinthians. This season, Timãozinho has already won the Mina Cup (United Arab Emirates), Copa Votorantim, and Paulista Cup.
