Corinthians hold final training session before Copa do Brasil debut

On the morning of Wednesday (11), Corinthians continued their preparations and held their penultimate training session before the team's debut in the 2026 Brazilian Women's Championship. This Friday (13), at 9:00 PM (Brasília time), the Brabas will visit Atkético-MG at Arena MRV. It’s worth noting that the Brabas are the most successful champions of the national tournament in the category, with seven titles (2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025).

At CT Dr. Joaquim Grava, the Corinthians squad began the day with physical activities in the gym. Next, the athletes, together with the Performance Analysis Center, watched videos about their debut opponent in the Women's Brasileirão. Finally, coach Lucas Piccinato conducted a set-piece activity and made defensive adjustments to the team.

In three matches so far in 2026, the Brabas have one win, one draw, and one loss. The women’s squad, in addition to being runners-up in the Women’s Supercup, also finished second in the Champions Cup, losing to Arsenal of England 3-2 in extra time. Besides the two tournaments mentioned, Corinthians will also compete in 2026 in: Teal Rising Cup, Brazilian Championship, Copa do Brasil, and Conmebol Libertadores.

The only absence for the team in the match will be goalkeeper Lelê, who suffered a blow to the head during the Derby in the Women’s Supercup final in Barueri last Saturday (7), and remains in recovery following concussion protocol. The match, in turn, will have an audience after Atlético-MG changed their planning.
