Corinthians honoured André Carrillo for 100 appearances before their match with Cruzeiro in the 23rd round of the Campeonato Brasileiro on Sunday night.

According to Meu Timao, president Osmar Stabile and football executive Marcelo Paz presented him with a No 100 shirt and a commemorative plaque as he warmed up with team-mates in an internal area of the Neo Química Arena.

Carrillo hit the milestone on 30 July, starting the 0-0 draw with Athletico-PR in round 21.

The Peru international joined in mid-2024 on a free after leaving Al-Qadisiyah. His career has included Alianza Lima, Sporting, Benfica, Watford and Al-Hilal, and he has been one of Peru’s leading figures over the past decade.

He now has 104 appearances for Corinthians, with 60 starts. In that span the team posted 53 wins, 27 draws and 24 defeats, a 59.6% points return.

Wearing No 19, he has three goals and six assists, participating in nine goals. He has lifted the Campeonato Paulista, the Copa do Brasil and the Supercopa Rei.

His contract runs until 31 December this year, so he can already sign a pre-contract elsewhere. Despite the uncertainty, a fan poll recorded 56.6% support for extending his stay into 2027.
