Corinthians host Internacional at Neo Química Arena at 20:00 on Thursday in the Copa do Brasil last 16 second leg, with Felipe Fernandes de Lima in charge.

Internacional will have a Federação Gaúcha de Futebol representative at the ground, according to ge.globo, after Corinthians challenged the officiating from Sunday’s first leg.

It is the referee’s second meeting between the sides in 2026. He handled April’s Brasileirão clash at the same venue, which Internacional won 1-0. Dorival Júnior was dismissed after that game, having reached nine matches without a win.

This will be Felipe’s fourth Corinthians match of the year. He oversaw February’s 2-0 win over Red Bull Bragantino and May’s 3-1 defeat to Botafogo, both in the league.

Across his career he has officiated 17 Corinthians games, yielding four wins, eight draws and five defeats. He has shown Corinthians players 39 yellow cards, an average of 2.3 per match.

Felipe was stood down in May following controversy in Palmeiras versus Chapecoense. He ruled out a stoppage-time Chapecoense goal for an alleged attacking foul in the Palmeiras area, then awarded a penalty against Palmeiras, which Bolasie missed.

Corinthians lost the first leg 2-0. They need to win by at least three to go through, or match the two-goal margin to take it to penalties.
