Corinthians are likely to rest several first-team regulars for Sunday’s trip to Flamengo, which kicks off at 17:30 Brasília time at the Maracanã in the 27th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, with Wednesday’s Conmebol Libertadores quarter-final against Estudiantes in São Paulo in mind.

The squad completed training on Saturday morning at CT Joaquim Grava to finalise preparations. According to Globo.com, Corinthians will face Flamengo with three players called up to the Seleção.

Fernando Diniz cannot select Allan, who is on loan from the Rio club until the end of the year. Fielding him would require a R$ 2 million fee, which Corinthians will not pay.

Midfielder André is in the final stage of recovery, forward Yuri Alberto remains in treatment, and centre-back André Ramalho has labyrinthitis. All are ruled out.

Corinthians could line up with Hugo Souza, Pedro Milans, João Pedro Tchoca, Iago Machado, Angileri, Raniele, Charles, Matheus Pereira, Lingard, Dieguinho and Gui Negão, with Pedro Raul an option.

Winless in four rounds, Corinthians sit 12th on 32 points. Flamengo lead the table on 54.
