Corinthians loanee Juliana Passari has sustained a biceps femoris injury in her second appearance for Alianza Lima. She is now in rehabilitation under the supervision of the club’s medical staff.

Alianza Lima said the injury occurred against Universitario on 30 August, with the midfielder starting the game but coming off after 18 minutes.

Recovery for biceps femoris injuries can range from two weeks to more than three months, depending on the grade and severity.

The match was her second outing after an eye-catching debut on 23 August, when she scored twice and provided an assist in a 6-0 win over Club Carlos Mannucci in Peru’s Liga Feminina.

Passari joined Alianza Lima on loan at the start of August, a deal running until the end of this season.

Signed by Corinthians early last year, she struggled for minutes amid strong competition and recurrent fitness issues, making 10 appearances and scoring once.

Before moving to the Timão, she suffered serious knee injuries, rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee in 2019 and sustaining the same injury in her left knee in 2021.
