Corinthians are exploring a move for midfielder Arthur, owned by Juventus and on loan at Grêmio until last month. Café do Setorista reports that the club have made an enquiry.
Talks with the 29-year-old's camp did not initially progress because of high salary demands. Corinthians could revisit discussions if he reduces his expectations.
Arthur is under contract with Juventus until mid-2027, and a new loan is considered the most viable route.
To advance any deal, Corinthians must first lift a transfer ban to register new players. Although there is still no agreement with Philadelphia Union over the 2024 purchase of José Martínez, the board expect to settle an outstanding sum of approximately US$ 1.5 million, R$ 7.7 million at current rates, as quickly as possible.
Arthur left Grêmio when his loan expired. The sides did not reach a financial agreement to renew.
