Corinthians must pay R$ two million if Allan plays v Flamengo | OneFootball

Corinthians are not expected to use midfielder Allan against Flamengo on Sunday at 20:30 Brasília time at Neo Química Arena, in the eighth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

According to Globo.com, the 29-year-old is on loan from the Rio club until the end of the year and his deal includes a clause that would cost Corinthians R$ two million if he plays, a sum the board are not expected to pay.

Corinthians did not pay a loan fee and are covering 100% of his wages. The agreement carries an option to buy set at two million euros, R$ 12.29 million at current rates.

Allan has made nine appearances so far but has yet to cement a starting place.

Coach Dorival Júnior can call on Raniele as a holding midfielder, with André, Matheus Pereira, André Carrillo, Charles and Breno Bidon available for the second midfield role.

Corinthians are winless in four league matches and have slipped away from the leaders. They sit ninth on nine points.
