Corinthians have named a largely rotated line-up for tonight’s Campeonato Paulista visit to Velo Clube at Eststadio Benito Agnelo Castellano, kick-off 20:30, in round five.

According to Meu Timao, Dorival JJunior made the call amid a congested start to the season and to keep the squad sharp for the Brasileiro opener against Bahia on Wednesday and the Supercopa do Brasil final against Flamengo next Sunday.

The XI is Hugo Souza, Pedro Milans, Andr Ramalho, Gabriel Paulista, Hugo Farias, Charles, Andr Luiz, Matheus Pereira, Rodrigo Garro, Vitinho and Gui Nego. Milans makes his debut after joining from Perlo, having been registered for the Campeonato Paulista on Friday.

Velo Clube, led by Luizs Carlos de Oliveira (Pintado), line up with Marcelo Can, Ynai, Islan, Beto, Marcelo, Z Mario, Luiz Otavio, Mateus Norton, Daniel Amorim, Sillas and Rodrigo Alves.

Dorival is without three players: Memphis Depay continues physical reconditioning and is training with a reduced load, Jos Martnez has yet to return from Venezuela while dealing with passport issues after his holidays, and Cac remains out as he treats a strain of the left internal oblique muscle.

Despite the alternative selection, victory is viewed as important to climb the table. A win would take Corinthians to eight points and into fourth place.
