Corinthians name starting XI to face Athletico-PR away in the Brasileirão

On the evening of this Thursday (19th), at 7:30 PM (Brasília time), Corinthians faces Athletico-PR at the Arena da Baixada in a postponed match of the second round of the 2026 Brazilian Championship. Currently, the Corinthians team is in the middle of the standings with three points in two games – three goals scored and two conceded. A victory could take the Alvinegro up to fifth place, depending on tiebreaker criteria.

For the match, the Corinthians coaching staff will not be able to count on: defender Cacá (close to being announced at Vitória), left-backs Hugo Farias (right knee surgery) and Fabrizio Angileri (physical reconditioning), midfielder José Martínez (about to terminate his contract), midfielder Breno Bidon (physical transition after muscle injury), as well as forwards Kaio César (right thigh posterior injury) and Yuri Alberto (grade 2 muscle injury).

Thus, Corinthians was lined up by coach Dorival Júnior as follows: Hugo Souza; Matheuzinho, Gabriel Paulista, Gustavo Henrique, and Matheus Bidu; Raniele, Matheus Pereira, Charles, and Rodrigo Garro; Vitinho and Memphis Depay.

The bench options are: Felipe Longo, Pedro Milans, João Pedro Tchoca, André Ramalho, Allan, Luiz Gustavo Bahia, André Luiz, Dieguinho, André Carrillo, Pedro Raul, Kayke, and Gui Negão.

After facing Athletico-PR away from home for the second round of the Brasileirão, Corinthians shifts its focus back to the Campeonato Paulista. Next Sunday (22nd), at 8:30 PM (Brasília time), the Alvinegro takes on Portuguesa at the Canindé Stadium for the state championship quarter-finals. A draw takes the decision to penalty shootouts.
