Corinthians’ organised supporter groups have announced a series of protests over the club’s current situation, timed around the Libertadores last-16 tie with Rosario Central.

According to Meu Timao, fans are being called to Parque São Jorge on Saturday at 10:00 to demand the removal of people they say are still harming the club.

Before that, on Wednesday 19 at 14:00, Gaviões da Fiel, Camisa 12, Pavilhão 9, Estopim da Fiel, Coringão Chopp and Fiel Macabra plan to gather outside the São Paulo state prosecutor’s office, MP-SP, to show support and push for faster analysis of a possible judicial intervention opened last year.

The groups say this will not be a demonstration but a peaceful, symbolic act. They note MP-SP also has other ongoing inquiries, including security contracts involving president Osmar Stabile, and is collaborating on moves concerning the removal of former presidents Andres Sanchez, Augusto Melo and Duilio Monteiro Alves.

In their message, the groups describe one of the biggest crises in the club’s history, alleging dirty politics, backstage deals and an associative model that sidelines supporters, with financial and administrative turmoil threatening credibility, planning and the club’s future.

On the pitch, the tie is level after a 0-0 first leg. Corinthians host Argentina’s Rosario Central on Thursday at 21:30 at Neo Química Arena, needing a win to reach the quarter-finals, and the match is also expected to draw protests.
