Corinthians pause Memphis Depay involvement, Arena clean-up advances, Wesley offered but club back away

Corinthians had a busy Thursday, with Memphis Depay not expected to take part in squad activities until a contract renewal is settled.

According to Meu Timao, the club consider it unnecessary for the number 10 to be involved only days before his current deal ends.

The club also shared new images of the clean-up at Neo Química Arena. Work began on one July and the main visible change is on the West Stand roof at the Casa do Povo.

Elsewhere, forward Wesley was offered to the Parque São Jorge club, but Corinthians withdrew after the financial demands set by his camp.

Cruzeiro are interested as well, though the academy graduate would give priority to Corinthians if an agreement can be reached.
