According to Meu Timao, Corinthians have paid a fine of R$ 1.5 million to lift a FIFA transfer ban, with the decision announced on Tuesday 25.

The sanction stemmed from a debt owed to Léo Santos, who moved to Fluminense in 2020. The Rio club did not meet the agreed payments, which led FIFA to penalise Corinthians.

With the matter resolved, the club can now prepare signings for the next window, which opens in August.

Recruitment work is already under way for the remainder of the season.

Corinthians are aiming to raise their level in the Campeonato Brasileiro and in the other competitions still on the calendar this year.
