Corinthians have paid one of two overdue months of image rights to their women’s team, with one month and three bonuses still outstanding, Globo.com reports.
The payment came days after players visited Parque São Jorge on Tuesday to press president Osmar Stabile. They raised concerns over his limited presence around the women’s team and asked for the overdue sums to be paid.
Stabile promised that one month would be settled on Friday, saying it had already been scheduled. The board expects to pay the second overdue month next week.
Agreed bonuses remain unpaid for the 2025 Libertadores title and for runners-up finishes in the Copa das Campeãs and the Supercopa Feminina this year. There is no timetable for those payments.
Multiple champions, Corinthians are among the leading sides in the women’s game. As Brabas are in the Brasileirão quarter-finals and face Cruzeiro on the next two Mondays. In the Paulistão, they contest the play-in against Red Bull Bragantino.
The men’s squad also had two months of image rights in arrears, paying one last Monday. Bonuses from the Libertadores and the Brasileirão remain outstanding.
