Corinthians will begin a phased opening of the new Setor Sul at Neo Química Arena, increasing attendance incrementally after the removal of seats.

According to Meu Timao, around 200 extra tickets will be released initially, then 300 and 500, with numbers rising until the Military Police and Fire Department authorise full use.

The seat removal was cleared by public authorities following joint work by the club’s executive board and the arena’s management. Before the change, the Setor Sul held up to 7,406, and once fully cleared it is set to accommodate 9,083.

For the match against Remo on 23 in the 19th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, the Setor Sul will be open to the Fiel. Tickets will be sold exclusively via the Fiel Torcedor platform.

Beyond the Setor Sul, Corinthians are working to expand the Leste Superior, with Indigo agreeing to fund about 2,000 permanent seats, subject to safety approval. Unlike the temporary structures used during the 2014 World Cup and NFL games, this build will be in masonry.

With both projects, the club projects total capacity to rise to around 55,000, up from the current 48,905.
