Corinthians plan to pay first instalment of women’s team debt on Friday | OneFootball

According to Meu Timao, Corinthians plan to settle part of the overdue payments to the women’s squad on Friday, 28 August. The sum would be split into two instalments, the second due next week.

This schedule would fall within the 10-day deadline requested by the Brabas. On Tuesday, part of the squad held a 90-minute meeting with club president Osmar Stabile to press for arrears, chiefly unpaid image rights for June and July.

Corinthians began 2026 with a R$ 13 million deficit linked to the women’s side, of which R$ 11 million is said to have been settled via a contribution from sponsor Fatal Fans.

The remaining sums, tied to image rights and bonuses, are expected to be covered with club funds. Players can seek legal recourse to terminate contracts if payments stay overdue for three months.
