Corinthians escalated their complaints about officiating after a 2-0 defeat at Estádio Beira-Rio, posting two clips on social media that questioned decisions. According to Meu Timao, the videos were shared shortly after full-time.

The first clip shows left-back Matheus Bidu being hauled down by Internacional’s Bruno Gomes, which the club argued should have resulted in a penalty in their favour.

Just over an hour later, a second post highlighted a first-half incident in which the referee penalised Rodrigo Garro for a foul inside the area, with the club again contesting the call.

The match was overseen by Alex Gomes Stefano, with Caio Max Augusto Vieira on VAR. On the pitch, Garro said he was disrespected by the referee, while goalkeeper Hugo Souza left unhappy with the treatment of team-mate Matheuzinho.

Before Fernando Diniz’s press conference, football executive Marcelo Paz also spoke about the officiating and raised claims of threats from the referee towards players.

On the field, Corinthians must win by at least three goals at Neo Química Arena to reach the Copa do Brasil quarter-finals in normal time. A two-goal home win would take the tie to penalties. The return is on Thursday, 06, at 20:00 in Itaquera.
