Corinthians returned to work on Thursday, beginning preparations for Saturday’s Brasileirão trip to Vitória at Barradão, kick-off 20:00 Brasília time, in the 12th round.
According to Globo.com, forward Kaio César trained with the squad as part of transition work that began on Monday, while left-back Fabrizio Angileri took part at a lighter intensity as he starts his own physical transition.
Kaio César is recovering from a right hamstring problem and last featured against Santos on 15 March at Vila Belmiro in the league. There is an expectation he could be available on Saturday, whereas Angileri is expected to be fully recovered next week.
The injured group remain in treatment: João Pedro Tchoca, pubic pain, Charles, right heel injury, Memphis Depay, grade 2 muscle injury to the front of his right thigh, Gui Negão, right hamstring strain, and Hugo, recovering from right knee meniscus reconstruction.
Those who played more than 45 minutes against Santa Fe of Colombia stayed inside CT Joaquim Grava for recovery, the rest completed gym activation then warmed up on Field 4. Fernando Diniz led possession and pressing work before an open-field exercise. The squad train again on Friday, then travel to Salvador in the afternoon, with Matheuzinho and André unavailable after being sent off against Palmeiras in the 11th round last Sunday.
