Corinthians present tribute plaque for pivot’s milestone in the NBB

Before the victory against Vasco da Gama in the NBB, Corinthians took the opportunity to honor center Lucas Cauê. In his second stint at Parque São Jorge, he reached the milestone of 1000 points for the club in Novo Basquete Brasil games. The number was achieved in the previous round against Cruzeiro.

“HONORED! Tonight, Lucas Cauê received a plaque for surpassing the 1000-point mark for #CorinthiansBasketball in NBB Caixa. We’re with you, Lucas!”, the club posted on social media.

The center's first stint at Corinthians happened in 2020/21, during the pandemic period. After spending two seasons at Pinheiros, he returned in 2023 and has been with Timão since then, managing to stand out to the point of being called up to the Brazilian National Team.

This season started slow for the player. With the arrival of Gabriel Novaes, he has had fewer minutes on the court, but remains important to Jece Leite's coaching staff. Currently, he is averaging 16.7 minutes in the team rotation.
