Corinthians booked a 10th consecutive Brasileirão Feminino semi-final with a 3-1 win over Cruzeiro at Canindé on Monday.

They won both legs. Vic Albuquerque had put Cruzeiro ahead in Belo Horizonte, before Jhonson, Tamires and Thaís Ferreira settled the return. As reported by Meu Timao.

Since the team were revived, the Brabas have missed the last four only once, in their first campaign. They finished behind Flamengo and São José in the second-stage group phase.

Corinthians have never fallen in their other nine semi-finals, converting them into seven titles and two runners-up finishes. The silver medals came in 2017 and 2019, against Santos and Ferroviária respectively.

Palmeiras have been their most frequent semi-final opponents, with three ties, followed by Flamengo with two. They have also faced Rio Preto, Ferroviária, Santos and São Paulo. Across 18 semi-final matches, their record is 13 wins, two draws and three defeats.

Emily Lima’s side now face a first-time semi-final meeting with Bahia on 13 and 20 September. Corinthians will host the second leg, based on their first-phase campaign.
