Corinthians reach 28th final in ten seasons since reviving women’s football

Corinthians has reached its 28th final since the resumption of women's football at Parque São Jorge, counting all campaigns between 2016 and 2025. This new milestone was achieved last Thursday, when the Brabas defeated São Paulo 2-1, coming from behind, at Neo Química Arena, securing a spot in the 2025 Paulistão final.

The title match will be against Palmeiras, scheduled for December 7 and 14. The first clash will take place at Arena Barueri at 11 a.m., while the decisive match is set for 10 a.m., with the home field still to be confirmed by Corinthians.

In this nine-season span, the club failed to reach the final in only seven tournaments. The eliminations happened in the 2025 Copa do Brasil, in the quarterfinals against São Paulo; in the group stage of the 2022 Paulista; in the 2022 Libertadores quarterfinals, when they were knocked out by Boca Juniors; in the semifinals of the 2017 and 2016 Paulistas, against Rio Preto and Santos; and in the second phase of the 2016 Brasileiro.

Of the 27 finals previously contested, Timão only missed out on the trophy in five. The runner-up finishes came in the 2025 Supercopa, against São Paulo; the 2024 Paulista, against Palmeiras; the 2019 Brasileiro, against Ferroviária; the 2018 Paulista, against Santos; and the 2017 Brasileiro, again against the Santos team.

In total, since 2016, Corinthians has lifted 22 trophies. The collection includes six Libertadores, seven Brasileiros, three Supercopas do Brasil, one Copa do Brasil, four Paulistas, and one Copa Paulista.
