Corinthians reach 400 games at Neo Química Arena with draw against Vasco

Corinthians took the field to face Vasco in the first leg of the grand final of the 2025 Copa do Brasil. Despite the goalless draw, which leaves the final wide open for the clash at Maracanã, Timão reached the impressive milestone of 400 matches at the Neo Química Arena.

Since the stadium's inauguration, the Fiel Torcida has witnessed, up close or from afar, 230 victories, 57 defeats, and now 113 draws, with 636 goals scored by Corinthians and 309 conceded. After the last match, the team’s performance at the stadium stands at 66.91% of points earned.

With 11 and a half years of history, Corinthians’ stadium in Itaquera has already seen Timão crowned champions on several occasions. The first title came in 2015, followed by others in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2025. In total, more than 12 million fans have attended since the inauguration.

Of these 400 matches, 351 were played with fans present at the Neo Química Arena. This is due to the pandemic and imposed sanctions. The average attendance is about 35,000 people, with total revenue surpassing R$ 750 million after the last match.

Corinthians will not play in Itaquera again this season and bid farewell to the stadium with a frustrating 0-0 draw for the fans. Now, the title will be decided at Maracanã, with a simple win enough to secure the trophy for Timão. The match kicks off on Sunday (21st), at 6 p.m. (Brasília time).
